Environment TDR Metalurgija d.d. belongs to the circle of companies obliged to obtain the environmental permit (IPPC) for their operation. To this end intensive activities are being carried out to prepare the application for obtaining the permit, for we strive to acquire as soon as possible the position of the Slovene Environmental Protection Agency regarding our company meeting the criteria to obtain the permit. We carry out the required operational monitoring in the fields of air emission, waste waters, noise levels, underground waters and electromagnetic radiation. With a view to establish the environmental management system we decided to implement the system according to ISO 14001. We expect to obtain the ISO 14001 certificate by the end of the year 2006. In 2003 we took part in the international project ECOPROFIT and received the ECOPROFIT certificate from the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia and the Ruše Municipality for successful cooperation.
